 | The C-arm is a x-ray device which is connected to a monitor which shows an image of the spine and the needle, allowing very precise placement of the needle. The use of the device makes the injection more comfortable for the patient since there is less poking around with the needle. It also makes the results more useful since even a negative result will provide information about what is and what is not an active pain generator. Without the C-arm a negative result could be due to poor needle placement. |
