Sacroiliac Joints
Introduction

The sacroiliac joints are the large joints at the base of the spine where it joins the pelvis. Although there is usually very little movement in these joints, they can become misaligned, inflamed, or arthritic and can be a source of pain in the buttocks, often referring pain to the groin and the back of the thigh.
